This week we started our S.E.P classes, and the teachers and PA’s were very helpful and accessible throughout the week. In organic chemistry extra credit was actually given to students who emailed the professor with questions; which was very helpful and encouraging because I knew that if I had questions I could get those answers. This program is geared towards your success as a student, and an effort is required. The S.E.P program is an enrichment program, and it should be taken just as seriously as regular classes during the semester, because the same work effort is required in order to receive the enrichment benefits. The presentation from the pharmacy and public health schools were very informational. The schools discussed their requirements to enter their schools, but they also discussed the different programs and areas of study within their schools. The presentations were very interesting and involved the scholars instead of constant informing without engaging the audience. The presenters were very helpful, and willing to provide advice to the scholars. Overall this week was interesting and exciting.
