For North Carolina high school students interested in the health sciences, Health Careers Day on the Hill is their opportunity to discover how to break into the health care field.

The program is held on the UNC campus each fall. Presentations by representatives from UNC’s health professional schools expose students to various health careers and UNC admissions officers provide valuable college preparation information.

What?– Health Careers Day on The Hill is an event that allows high school students to explore various health careers by hearing from a variety of health professionals.

When? – Saturday, November 10, 2018 10:00am – 5:00pm

Where?– UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine

Who?– High school students from across the state of NC

Why?– The objective is to peak their interest in various healthcare careers by providing breakout sessions and a career fair component.

How?- New conference format (morning sessions and evening sessions instead of consecutive sessions back to back. The career/resource fair gives students the opportunity to visit various tables and talk to health professionals and learn about resources that can help them to achieve their dream of becoming a healthcare professional.
