Support NC-HCAP

Thank you for your interest in making a gift to the North Carolina Health Careers Access Program. Gifts to NC-HCAP make a huge impact to help us provide educational and enrichment programs and are essential to the success of NC-HCAP.

This year we need your help more than ever. Federal budget cuts and static state funding continue to put NC-HCAP's existence at risk. However, the need for our program remains critical as long as there is a health disparities crisis plaguing our state and there continues to be an underrepresentation of minority and disadvantaged students in the health professions.

Your gift is greatly appreciated and will provide crucial funding that is needed to continue to support our students.

You may make a secure donation online or contact Renee Sprink directly at rsprink@unc.edu or (919) 966-2264.

Patrena Benton, NC-HCAP director [2006-2009] and Robert Selden announce the creation of the Robert M. Selden III Award Fund to benefit the SEP Program. Selden was a standout scholar in SEP 1992.

"When I think back on the people and opportunities that shaped my experience as I matriculated through school, I have only fond memories of my summer with SEP. Many of the contacts that I established and all of the study skills developed made reaching my goal easier," says Selden. "I want to make sure that other students get the same advantages that I had so that there is not a health care disparity in the future."
